Sir Philip Ledger (1937–2012) was one of the most distinguished British musicians of his generation – He was Director of Music at King’s College, Cambridge, Principal of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, and a world-respected accompanist, conductor and composer.
This is the first recording entirely devoted to his choral compositions and includes the larger-scale work Requiem – A thanksgiving for life.
