Regent Records is delighted to release the stunning début solo album from the young German organ virtuoso, Jan Liebermann.

Jan presents a varied programme of major works from the core organ repertoire by Hollins, Dupré, Bach arr Karg-Elert, Eben, and Duruflé, recorded on the Father Willis organ of Salisbury Cathedral. At the time this recording was made Jan was 19 and completing his final year at secondary school.

With charismatic stage presence, impeccable technique, and remarkable interpretive maturity, Jan Liebermann is already recognised as one of the most brilliant of the younger generation of concert organists. His performances throughout Europe have thrilled audiences with his verve, colour, technical control, and sheer rhythmic energy – all repertoire played entirely from memory, a rare practice in the organ world.

Reviews

‘The rhythmic energy and pulse are electrifying; the technical command is flawless. The interpretive maturity is remarkable for someone so young, reminding us that one cannot teach such qualities — they must simply be there….With a charismatic stage presence, impeccable technique, and interpretive maturity that would be notable in a player twice his age, Jan Liebermann is already recognised as one of the most brilliant of the younger generation of concert organists. If you have not yet heard him live, seek out a concert.

But do not wait that long: buy this disc now.’  Yorkshire Times 2026

‘And if ever there was a work meant to put an organist’s technical skills to the test, that would be the thrilling Toccata from the ‘Suite pour orgue’ by Maurice Duruflé (1902-1986). Not only does it display Jan Liebermann’s virtuosic playing, it demonstrates the power and brilliance of the 1877 Henry Willis organ of Salisbury Cathedral’ Classical Music Sentinel March 2026
